Development of Roland E-09 Instrument Definition file for Cakewalk

Today I want to announce the start of development of the Roland E-09 Arranger Keyboard instrument definition file for Cakewalk. Currently, no official or custom .ins file for this model has been found in the public domain, which makes it difficult to work with the Roland E-09 in the Cakewalk DAW. The new project is designed to fix this situation.

Goal: Creating a full-fledged .ins file for Cakewalk, allowing users to easily integrate the Roland E-09 into their music production, using all built-in Roland E-09 sounds and instrument banks via MIDI.

The file will include the exact patch names according to the official Roland documentation. Extended banks (Bank 2, Bank 130, Bank 258, etc.). Detailed mappings of MIDI controllers (Volume, Pan, Expression, Portamento).

Roland E-09 is a fairly common and popular interactive arranger keyboard synthesizer, but the lack of instrument definition files limits its use in professional DAWs from Cakewalk.
